Men's Activities
We encourage everyone at Christ Church Mayfair (TBT) to get involved, first of all, in either a Knowing God Group or a Home Group.
In addition there are these other groups/events which are specifically for men…
Men’s Breakfast
We hold men’s breakfasts at least once a term and find they are a great opportunity for men to get together on a Saturday morning, chat about sport, enjoy a delicious greasy fry-up and hear a talk about some aspect of our faith. Members of the church family find the talks and chance to meet with others greatly encourage them, motivate them to greater maturity in their knowledge of God and spur them on to greater works in His service.
Occasionally we have a men’s breakfast aimed at those who don’t know Jesus Christ where the talk will clearly and simply explain the saving message of Jesus Christ. These present a great opportunity to bring friends along to hear the good news in a relaxed, non-threatening environment.

Man Curry
The men of Christ Church Mayfair occasionally head down to Brick Lane to eat curry and enjoy one another’s company. It’s a great chance to get to know others better, encourage others in the faith, and relax together, all at the same time.
We usually meet at 7pm for a drink at a local pub, before moving on to the curry house at about 7:30.

Book Groups
Another way to grow in our knowledge and love for the Lord Jesus and to get to know others in the church family is to join a book group. Groups of varying sizes meet about once a term to discuss a Christian book that all have read, and to pray together about how to apply it to our lives.

One to One Bible Study
Many men at Christ Church meet informally in pairs to study the Bible together. Usually an older Christian will meet to read with a younger Christian. It is a great opportunity to ask all the burning questions you haven’t been able to ask before and to help each other apply God’s word to our lives. Some work through Bible study booklets together and some just read through and discuss one of Paul’s letters or other portions of scripture.

Prayer Triplets
Being a member of a prayer triplet with others in the church family is a great way to gain support and accountability from fellow Christians in similar circumstances. Most prayer triplets meet either weekly or fortnightly for a short time of prayer and discussion. Times and venues vary according to what is most convenient for the three members.

Little Lambs
Little Lambs is a playgroup for babies and preschool children, with their parents or care-givers. This group meets on Thursdays from 10.00 – 11.30am during school term-time. Come along for a fun, friendly atmosphere, toys, stories, songs, lots of space to play as well as coffee and grown-up conversation!

London Men’s Convention
The London Men’s Convention is an annual event organised by an interdenominational group of evangelical ministers and leaders. 4,000 men gather from all over London and the south of England to sing, pray and hear the Scriptures taught to them. The organizers are convinced that Bible teaching is the only thing able to thoroughly equip a man ‘for every good work.’ (2 Tim 3:17.) Speakers in recent years have included John Stott, Tim Keller, Al Stewart and Vaughan Roberts.
A group from Christ Church Mayfair usually attends and the next London Men’s Convention will be advertised in church in the run-up to it.
For more information about the next Convention, see their website
