Christianity Explored course
Many people have never had the opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ explained in language they understand. 'Christianity Explored' is a 5-week course doing "exactly what it says on the tin" - providing an opportunity to explore and question what Christianity is all about.
The course offers an informal opportunity to consider the claims of, and evidence for, Jesus Christ. Over the six weeks, we look at a historical account of the life of Jesus Christ from the Bible, and seek to understand the contemporary implications of his claims and teaching, his death and resurrection. Each session is self-contained, and there is no commitment to attend the whole course, although many people choose to do so.
The evenings are run in the upstairs room of a local pub, and usually include a simple meal, short talk, followed by time for informal questions and discussion in small groups. No pressure is applied, no praying or singing takes place, and no previous knowledge of the Bible or Christianity is assumed.
