Meeting Toby Ling

Over the next few weeks, we are going to post some interviews with new members of the student team to get to know them a bit better before term starts. First up is Toby...

How are you settling into London?

I am massively enjoying settling into London. It's so different to anywhere else i've lived though (the countryside, essentially), so it's taking a bit of getting used to! The scale of the place is daunting, but equally exciting.

Getting caught and stuck for a good ten seconds in the tube doors at London Bridge station was less exciting.

What were you doing last year?

My third year of a Theology degree at Exeter University.

What was the best thing about your degree?

Having so many new experiences, learning from so many different kinds of people (on and outside of the course), pretending with a few others to be the three kings and following a star in a straight line through Exeter at 1am, regardless of where it took us.

What are you looking forward to about the student team this year?

Exploring God's Word and living out the Kingdom of God together.

Tell us one verse of the Bible that's been exciting you recently.

'Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.' - 1 Corinthians 13:12

Thank you, Toby. We're looking forward to exploring God's word with you this term.
