Over the next few weeks, we are going to post some interviews with new members of the student team to get to know them a bit better before term starts. This week it's Becca, who seems to be sitting on a hay bale...
How long have you been in London? What first brought you here?
I came to London 2 years ago, having finished my degree at St Andrews. I "officially" came here for work, but really because I thought it would be fun, and I fancied living somewhere a little bit bigger than St Andrews, which basically consists of 3 cobbled streets.
What do you get up to when you're not hanging out with the CCM students?
I work in fundraising for a small museum, and I also moonlight as a florist... When I'm not doing any of these things, I love visiting galleries, hanging our with friends and occasionally escaping London to remind myself that the countryside exists!
What was your degree? What was the best thing about it?
I did Art History and Modern History at St Andrews, which was amazing - I loved my course, made some great friends and spent 4 years living in a beautiful mediaeval town where the library overlooks the beach.
What are you looking forward to about the student team this year?
I'm really looking forward to getting to know more of the students and getting stuck into studying Acts together - it will be exciting to see how God works and changes our hearts over the course of the year.
Tell us one verse of the Bible that's been exciting you recently.
Colossians 3:1 - Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
