Internationals

London is a wonderfully diverse and multi-cultural city, and Christ Church Mayfair aims to be a community that is friendly and welcoming to people from all over the world. We hope you will feel at home with us, whether you are a Christian looking for a church, or are simply interested to find out more about Christianity.

Explore and Hub

Church Flat (21B Down Street)
Monday, 7:15-9:30pm

o Have you ever wondered whether God exists? Or whether there is any meaning to life?
o Have you heard that England is a Christian country and wish to find out more?
o Would you like a tasty and cheap meal, and meet other internationals in London?

If so, then Explore is for you! We meet at 7:15pm every Monday evening during term time for an affordable hot meal, and then split into small groups for discussion. Explore is a great place to seek answers to your questions about God and life, as well as make new friends.

o Are you a Christian who wants to know God better?
o Are you a Christian who wants to meet other Christian internationals?
o Would you like a nice and cheap meal?

If so, do join us at Hub! We meet at 7:15pm every Monday evening during term time for an affordable hot meal, and then split into small groups for Bible study and prayer. iHub is a great place to hear God speak through the Bible, as well as make new friends. Living as a Christian in a foreign country can be hard, so do come along to Hub to support, and receive support from, other Christian internationals.

If you are an international undergraduate or postgraduate who speaks English as your first language, we would encourage you to come along to Student Knowing God. Please click here for more details.

Explore and Hub both take place at the flat opposite Christ Church Mayfair (click here for a map). The flat is at the junction between Down Street and Brick Street. As you turn into Down Street from Piccadilly, you will pass by a restaurant called El-Pirata on your right before you arrive at Brick Street. You should see a gate directly opposite El-Pirata. Press the buzzer on the gate and we will let you in!

International Café

Christ Church Mayfair
Friday, 7.30-9.45pm

o Are you visiting England, and wish to make friends with some Londoners?
o Would you like to have a nice and cheap meal, and to practise English with native speakers?

If so, then come along to International Café! We meet every Friday evening during term time to welcome internationals whose first language is not English. We begin at 7:30pm with free drinks and snacks, followed by an affordable meal. During the evening, there will also be a short slot introducing some aspect of British or London culture, such as places to visit, various festivals etc. After dinner, a team member will briefly share one or two thoughts about the Christian faith. Outside term time, we organise occasional social activities such as games nights, trips, BBQs, picnics, and more. Before each Cafe there is also a free English lesson (from 6:30pm).

The Café meets at Christ Church Mayfair (click here for a map).
